He recently performed at the July Jazz Getaway at Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA.
I was the second alto sax in the band, so we rehearsed with him for a few hours before the performance, and he was a funny guy. He also has a genuine love for music and jazz that I strive to have in my own life.
I mustered up the courage to strike up a conversation with him on one of our breaks, and his humor is just wicked!
I saw him live at a concert at Lehigh University, PA this past year. He was amazing, as always, but I’ll always miss his work with “Return to Forever”.
We have the same birthdate – January 27th – and my 21st birthday was his 250th birthday.
It’s fate.
I’m just as immature and crazy, so I’m not sure if it’s a good fate or not. ;p
Brilliant composer of anime and game soundtracks. Her work with Maaya Sakamoto can bring me to tears.
